SPI will be held from July 29 – August 1, 2018 at the University of Tulsa. Please spread the word about this great opportunity! Over the four days of SPI, students have a unique opportunity to learn about key Oklahoma issues and network with current and future policy leaders. SPI is a great preparation for anyone looking to pursue a career in public service. In the words of one past participant,"You have given me the tools to move forward with full power, full action, and full grace in the direction of my purpose. I feel unstoppable!" Who Can Attend The Institute is open to any undergraduate or graduate student at an Oklahoma college or university, or graduate from an Oklahoma high school, who has completed a minimum of 24 hours of college credit. Participants are chosen by a competitive application process aimed at selecting students with strong academic training, diverse experiences, and a clear interest in the study and practice of public policy. We select a diverse class of participants from many different educational institutions, fields of study, and geographic and cultural backgrounds. Tuition and Scholarships Program tuition is $375 for commuters or $450 for those staying in University of Tulsa housing. Full and partial financial assistance will be available to all students who need a scholarship to attend. No one will be denied a spot in the Institute due to inability to pay.
