Apply to be our Communications Director by Friday! Oklahoma Policy Institute is seeking an experienced and effective Communications Director. The deadline to apply is this Friday, July 26. Apply Now Our new Communications Director will have primary responsibility for developing and implementing an integrated, organization-wide strategic communications plan that helps to shape policy debates and broaden awareness of OK Policy's mission, work, and policy solutions to key audiences. Their day-to-day work will include creating or overseeing the editorial direction, design production, and distribution of all printed and branded materials; serving as lead point person on media interactions, and supervising the work of communications staff. The ideal candidate will be a proven strong writer and editor with at least five years of professional experience in communications, journalism, public relations or a related field and experience in a supervisory capacity. We are looking for a demonstrated ability to communicate and build relationships with racially- and ethnically-diverse audiences. Familiarity with Oklahoma legislative process and public policy is desirable, as are strong technical skills including data manipulation, graphics, website maintenance, and experience with WordPress.
