Apply Now Our new Communications Director will have primary responsibility for developing and implementing an integrated, organization-wide strategic communications plan that helps to shape policy debates and broaden awareness of OK Policy's mission, work, and policy solutions to key audiences. Their day-to-day work will include creating or overseeing the editorial direction, design production, and distribution of all printed and branded materials; serving as lead point person on media interactions, and supervising the work of communications staff. The ideal candidate will be a proven strong writer and editor with at least five years of professional experience in communications, journalism, public relations or a related field and experience in a supervisory capacity. We are looking for a demonstrated ability to communicate and build relationships with racially- and ethnically-diverse audiences. Familiarity with Oklahoma legislative process and public policy is desirable, as are strong technical skills including data manipulation, graphics, website maintenance, and experience with WordPress.
