Join Us for "A Better Path Forward" Livestream Event | 10 a.m., Oct. 27

Dear TOK member,

OK Policy is excited to host a livestream presentation about how we can make the state’s budget and tax systems work for all Oklahomans, and we would love to encourage Together OK members to tune in. As a bonus, we’re creating a chance to win a gift card for watching!

A Better Path Forward: Report Release and Conversation will be livestreamed starting at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 27, on OK Policy's website and via OK Policy's social media channels on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.

This event celebrates the publishing of A Better Path Forward, a comprehensive report detailing how the state has lost nearly a quarter of its budget capacity during the past two decades and the implications of the legislative decisions that got us here. More importantly, “A Better Path Forward” includes a menu of budget and tax reforms that can provide vital state revenue while bringing more fairness to the state’s tax system.

Wednesday’s launch event will feature:

Overview from report co-author Paul Shinn, OK Policy Budget & Tax Senior Policy Analyst

A response from Labor Commissioner Leslie Osborn

Panel discussion moderated by Non Doc Editor in Chief Tres Savage with panelists:

We encourage you to host a watch party as a TOK leader and invite your friends and neighbors who are able to join. Send us a photo of your watch party for a chance to win a $25 gift card. The photo with the most people in it will win!

Please submit your photos to info@togetherok.org by 5 p.m., Oct. 27.

OK Policy seeks to stimulate bipartisan, public conversation about how Oklahoma can strengthen state revenue, better support public services, level the playing field along racial and economic lines, and make meaningful  investments in our future success. A Better Path Forward provides a starting point for those conversations.

Thank you for your continued support and dedication to making our state a place where everyone can thrive.
