OK Policy is now hiring Our Legislative Director leads OK Policy's lobbying and legislative strategy efforts at the Oklahoma State Capitol. This position develops legislative goals, coordinates advocacy actions, and builds relationships with lawmakers and partners to advance OK Policy's policy priorities. The Legislative Director collaborates across teams to support strategic planning, communications, and grant reporting, while representing OK Policy to external stakeholders. This full-time role reports directly to the Executive Director and is based in Oklahoma City during the legislative session. Salary: $60,000 Annually. Duties/Responsibilities - In coordination with all relevant OK Policy teams, develop legislative goals and strategies related to legislation and interim studies.
- Lead legislative lobbying efforts, including coordinated lobby efforts with partner organizations.
- In collaboration with Outreach team, create opportunities for engagement with legislators in their home districts.
- Collaboratively develop and execute the organization's goals per the strategic plan, including communication strategy and grant preparation/reporting, over long and fluid timelines.
- Represent OK Policy to public and private audiences including stakeholders, press, elected and appointed officials, and current and prospective funders.
- Support the cultivation and maintenance of a workplace culture that values racial equity and racial justice, including providing resources and capacity for planning and implementation
- Contribute positively to our culture, which we like to think blends excellence with heart (and a keen sense of humor helps).
- Other duties as assigned.
