Software & Data Engineer Our research and data team uses data and technology to transform state and local government and community services in Oklahoma to work for the people they serve. Our current focus is improving outcomes for people involved in the criminal justice system. We produce analysis and build technology to reduce incarceration and help criminal justice leaders embrace data-driven decision-making
Among the duties for this position, our Software & Data Engineer will develop, optimize, and maintain data pipelines that connect datasets across criminal justice domains; assist our Senior Data Architect & Engineer in design and management of relational databases to support analysis, visualization, and application development; collaborate with researchers, analysts, and policymakers to define data requirements and ensure quality and reproducibility; automate and document data processing workflows using CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code tools; and build and maintain dashboards, APIs, and web applications for internal and external stakeholders. Together Oklahoma/Outreach Team Regional organizers work in the development and implementation of virtual and community-based advocacy actions that further policy goals identified by OK Policy. These positions work as part of OK Policy's grassroots advocacy arm Together Oklahoma (TOK) to engage communities and action groups.
