It's time to expand health coverage in Oklahoma. Join us!

Dear Friend,

Over the years, you've heard a lot from us about Oklahoma's poor health statistics. A high uninsured rate, high rates of mental illness and substance use disorder, and little access to care all mean too many of us aren't able to live up to our full potential. This year, our lawmakers have the opportunity to change that. By accepting federal funds to expand access to care, we can ensure that more than 100,000 Oklahomans can see a doctor, get the treatment they need for mental illness or substance use disorder, or just fill a prescription.

After years of refusing to even consider using federal funds to expand coverage, there is finally a willingness among some lawmakers this session to take action - but they need to hear from you. By joining the Coalition to Expand Coverage, you can help ensure our voices are heard. The Coalition is gearing up for a sustained campaign over the coming months, including a day at the Capitol on Wednesday, April 24. Get involved by checking out #CoverOK. At the site:

  • Your organization or business can join the coalition to support coverage expansion
  • As an individual, you can contact your legislators and ask them to make coverage expansion a priority this session
  • Commit to joining us at the Capitol on April 24 for the Rally to Expand Coverage!

So far, 37 states have chosen to expand access to care, lowering their uninsured rates, increasing access to needed health care, and helping pull crucial health care providers back into the black. With your help, Oklahoma can join them. Act soon - 100,000 Oklahomans can't wait much longer.

Best,
