Critical Medicaid Vote TODAY

Dear Friend, We need you to keep calling. A key vote on the Governor’s Medicaid expansion alternative is scheduled for TODAY.  SB 1046 would increase fees on hospitals and further stress already struggling rural hospitals, all in an attempt to fund the Governor’s hastily assembled and untested plan. Meanwhile, an election date for straightforward Medicaid expansion as demanded by voters in State Question 802 still hasn’t been set. Oklahomans deserve better. Please call your state legislators and ask them to reject the Governor’s plan and vote NO to SB 1046. A record number of Oklahomans have demanded to have their voice heard on straightforward Medicaid expansion as outlined in State Question 802. This is the only tried and true path to ensuring people can get the health care they need. We need to keep the pressure up. Oklahomans shouldn’t be used as guinea pigs in a plan that is sure to leave federal dollars on the table and result in lengthy legal challenges. Take action now and ask your elected representatives to respect the wishes of more than 300,000 Oklahomans and let Medicaid expansion be decided by the people.
