Oklahoma lawmakers have sent HB 1775 to Gov. Stitt for his signature. This bill would ban diversity trainings, as well as teaching about race and gender, which moves us further from an inclusive Oklahoma and poses a threat to our state’s future growth.
Please contact Gov. Stitt now and ask him to VETO HB 1775.
- HB 1775 would deprive schools from teaching about the full picture of our nation’s vast history. It limits what our children and college students can learn by censoring educators from talking about cultural heritage and experiences.
- HB 1775 stifles honest conversations needed to allow healing and reconciliation as Oklahomans address the dark stains in our state’s history, including the Trail of Tears and the Tulsa Race Massacre.
- As Oklahoma seeks to grow its population base, HB 1775 sends a clear message that our state is an inhospitable environment for many who currently live in Oklahoma or may be considering moving themselves or their business to the state.
