My name is Roxanne Logan and I am the new Southeast Oklahoma Field Organizer for Together OK.
I want to introduce myself, but first I want to invite you to join us Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. for virtual coffee and conversation. This will be a chance for some of us to meet face-to-face (virtually). We will be joined by our Census Community Engagement Coordinator Jasha Lyons Echo-Hawk, Outreach and Legislative Liaison Nicole Poindexter, and other members of our team for some updates on our work.

As for myself, my love for political involvement began way back in the 60’s. I learned at that time if people have a common goal and work together towards the attainment of that goal they are usually successful.
I had the privilege of working on a campaign as deputy treasurer and I was treasurer in two different political groups. I have read several books teaching how to be a successful organizer and I am currently reading “Going Public” written by Michael Gecan.
I have learned through my experience as Together Oklahoma Chapter Leader that it is relatively easy to get people interested in an issue but to get them willing to actually step out of their safe-place and become actively involved at times is challenging.
I feel it is a privilege to work for Oklahoma Policy Institute and I am eager to learn all I can and help build Together Oklahoma involvement.
I look forward to the time when I can meet each of you in person.
