Tell Gov. Stitt: Suspend push for his health care proposal

Together Oklahoma

Dear Friend,

It's time for Gov. Stitt to suspend his push for a Medicaid expansion alternative. Send an email to the Governor now.

Our nation is in the grip of a global health crisis, and Oklahomans should not have to battle for our health care at the same time so many of us are fighting for survival.

At the Governor’s request, Oklahoma officials in mid-March released his health care proposal that could restrict or limit coverage for up to 200,000 of our friends and neighbors. Its release started a 30-day clock for Oklahomans to review the proposal and share our concerns. The comment deadline is April 15.

To date, the Oklahoma Health Care Authority, our state’s Medicaid agency, has held a series of virtual “public hearings” on the proposal, which have been anything but transparent and representative.

It is shameful for our state’s top executive to barrel ahead with his restrictive health care proposal during a national health emergency. His proposal includes restrictions to health care coverage that would threaten our state’s health and economic security.

Call on Gov. Stitt to withdraw his health care proposal, or at the very least, significantly extend the comment period until this national health emergency is over.

Together we can make a difference,

Sabine Brown
Outreach and Legislative Director
